‘Round-the-World- Women, a more than fifty-year old non-profit organization in New Haven, is looking for a responsible and reliable person to help run their nursery alongside member volunteers. The position is available beginning Tuesday, January 26th and ends May 11th (with potential for renewal).

The candidate should be available between 9:15 and 11:30am on Tuesdays to help watch pre-school aged children (10 children on average) in the nursery, located at 205 Edwards St. in the East Rock neighborhood.

Duties include:
-overseeing the safety of the members’ children
-working with member volunteers
-checking the safety of toys and equipment
-administering crafts and activities
-administering snacks and drinks
-cleaning and arranging the nursery
-tracking members’ children on forms
-introducing new members and their children to the nursery

This position is paid by a $20 reimbursement each week. It does not require a work visa or permit. The candidate may bring her/his own children to the nursery and may also share the position with another person.
